About EWWM & Frequently Asked Questions!

I’m Ellie, I’m nineteen, and I make mixtapes for Jam 88.3 every Wednesday. Tune in weekly from 9PM to 12MN. ♥

1. How did you get the gig for Jam 88.3?
I knew DJ Lambert prior to the birth of EWWM. Around August/September of 2011, Jam reshuffled slots and shows, and he contacted me and asked me if I wanted to do a weekly music-based segment in his new show. I, of course, did not think twice and said yes. After a few episodes, he decided to let me board on-air with them throughout the entire show, and that’s how it’s been since then.

2. When did the first episode air?
October 26th, 2011.

3. Where do you find/get your music?
The internet, mostly. And from other people. If I have the time to sit down and read, I get them from foreign music magazines. There’s no one specific place where I get everything. My library just keeps growing.

4. Do you accept song suggestions or themes for your mixtapes?
Yes, of course! Send them over to my Tumblr Ask Box

5. Can bands send their demos to you?
Definitely! I like discovering new music all the time. If your tracks are appropriate for a mixtape, I wouldn’t hesitate to let it be played on-air.

6. Other than EWWM, what else do you do?
I’m still in school (majoring in Asian Studies at UST) and I’m the marketing director and one of the music and lifestyle writers for Stache Magazine Online.

7. Who made the layout and the background illustration of your site?
The layout was made by Mary Silvestre and the background illustration/poster was made by Maura Rodriguez.

8. How old are you?
I’m eighteen.

9. Do you have a personal blog? Twitter? Facebook?
Personal blog: http://ellie-on-lsd.tumblr.com
Twitter: http://twitter.com/EllieCaramellie
Facebook: http://facebook.com/ellielectrique

10. Do you do commissioned mixtapes for individuals and/or companies?
Yes, so far I’ve done mixtapes specifically for MOONLEAF TEA SHOP and a few individuals. If any body wishes to have a mixtape made by me just for them, they can send me an inquiry here (off-anon, of course) or through email at ellie@stachemagazineonline.com. This will have corresponding rates but rest assured you’ll get the same musical quality as the one EWWM stands for. :-)
